Bargara could be described as a tropical paradise. When you arrive you’ll be greeted by sweeping beaches, palm trees lining the foreshore and the Southern Great Barrier Reef stretching out before you.

It’s time to kick back and relax, because tropical Queensland awaits.

Just 13 kilometres from Bundaberg, this family friendly seaside town and it’s laid back atmosphere features beaches, parks, cafes, shops and many activities to enjoy.

Swim year round - the climate is often compared to Hawaii. Several beaches stretch from Neilson’s Park down to Archie’s Beach.
The main strip of Bargara is known as the Esplanade. A perfect spot for a relaxing morning of afternoon walk. The wide and breezy pathways are always buzzing with activity as locals and visitors alike soak up rays while walking, cycling or scooting along.

The Basin is a brilliant protected swimming spot for everyone, young and old. Head there at high tide to enjoy the seawater filled pool. Pop some goggles on and take a peek beneath to waves to see the fish that swim around your legs as you wade around.

Turtle Park provides a big playground in the shape of a turtle for the kids and many grassy areas that are perfect for a picnic or family gathering.

Check out the range of accommodation options around or just take a day trip from Bundaberg, seeing as it's so close.
