Forget the glass bottom boat tours! You can see it all at the Basin Rock Pool. Beautiful fish of all colours and coral pieces with all sorts of marine life revealed when the tide goes out.
It has been described as swimming in a fish tank, the volcanic rock formations providing a pool which captures the tide on it’s way out.
Further out you’ll find a fringing reef, the southernmost part of the Great Barrier Reef.
